Ex-soldiers ! Enough with militarism, enough with facism ! the officer is speaking French and the soldier obey in 1914-18 but in 1930 he is answering : I do not understand, get away.
This is one of the main complain from Flemish people: during the war the troupe was Flemish speaking but the orders were give in French... After historical studies, it seems that this story was not correct. Still a lot of people in the Flemish part of Belgium are yet believing it.
